Welcome to The Liberated Pen
At The Liberated Pen, we transform silence into power through the written word. This space is for those writing themselves back to freedom—word by word, breath by breath.
For years, I wrote in silence, believing my voice had to be small to stay safe. Now I know: silence was never safety—it was the seed before the bloom. Here, poetry, healing, and purpose converge. We honor the journey of becoming through love, faith, accountability, and action.
Our mission is to use language as liberation: to cultivate discernment, wisdom, and clarity; to build consistency in thought and practice; and to trust the process of growth as a daily, intentional practice. Every post, poem, and shared word is a step toward living fully aligned with your highest self.

My Journey
At a young age, I realized that God had given me a gift for words—and the ability to command a presence through them. I wrote my first book in the third grade at Dr. Nixon Elementary School in El Paso, Texas. It was placed in the school library, complete with my own writing and illustrations. I don’t remember the title, but I remember the heart of it: my life. My martial arts journey, my favorite foods, my best friends—pieces of who I was becoming.
Not long after, I was told that writing wouldn’t make me money or lead me anywhere in life. So I placed it on the back burner and redirected my focus elsewhere, quietly continuing to write only for myself.
Thirty years later, I found my way back.
My first published book, 4 Steps to Success: Transform Your Mindset to Cultivate Powerful Behaviors, marked a turning point. It initiated a shift from outward frustration to inward responsibility—from complaining about circumstances to examining my thoughts, choices, and behaviors.
Nearly one year later, my second published work emerged: Becoming Her: The Sacred Journey Back to Myself—Poetic Meditations on Healing, Love & Liberation. Through it, I remembered that third-grade girl and honored her persistence.
She is now a woman—becoming exactly who she was always meant to be.
The Liberated Pen is the continuation of that journey: a return to self, a practice of discernment, and a devotion to writing with intention.
