Tuesday Bird Watching and Art Creation

As humans, we crave connection. When we're tapped into ourselves individually and then come together collectively, there's something magical that happens. Maybe not magic—but an elated spirit, especially if it's healthy. It was a regular Tuesday. We had made plans to hang out after work, but something came up. I had already accepted that we'd reschedule and let the plans go. As I was walking out of work, to my pleasant surprise, she pulled up in front of me and asked, "Are we still hanging out?" I smiled so big. I remember telling her throughout the evening just how happy I was. Sometimes life unfolds in ways that remind us that not everything has to be forced. Some things simply align. We pulled up to my apartment, parked, and sat in the car talking for a while. At one point, we noticed a bird and immediately looked it up—a White-winged Dove. Ironically, we both forgot its name shortly after. I spent the next three days trying to remember it. I was determined because, somehow, that bird felt like an important piece of this story. Eventually, we went inside. Music on. Minds creating. We put together a six- or seven-song playlist. Every time the song changed, we switched canvases and continued each other's work. There was no agenda—just trust, curiosity, laughter, and creation. The piece below is what emerged. An affirmation cellular hearted ballooned earth human being charged by the sun. Created by two humans who connect, laugh, create, and genuinely enjoy each other's company. Maybe that's what connection is. Not perfection. Not performance. Just two people making space for each other and discovering that something beautiful can grow in between.
